Star Shape Worksheet for Kids
A star is a fun shape with 5 points that stick out and 5 corners that tuck in between them. Drawing a star means making lots of sharp turns, going out to a point and then back in again, over and over until the shape is complete. That zig-zag path makes the star one of the most exciting shapes to learn.
When children aged 2 to 7 trace a star, they practise changing direction many times and controlling their pencil through tricky angles. This really strengthens fine motor skills and concentration.
Stars are a joy to spot. A starfish at the beach, a shiny sticker, a shiny badge, a sparkle in a cartoon, a twinkling star in the night sky and a star on top of a Christmas tree all show this cheerful shape. Looking up at the night sky together is a magical way to learn it.
