Octagon Shape Worksheet for Kids
An octagon is a shape with eight straight sides and eight corners. The word 'octa' means eight, just like an octopus has eight arms. Counting each side as you go around is a lovely way to help the number eight stick.
When children aged 3 to 7 trace an octagon, they practise stopping and turning at each of its eight corners. This careful, controlled movement strengthens the little hand muscles used for writing.
