ABC Tracing Worksheet

Letter E Tracing Worksheet for Preschool Kids

The letter E is made of simple straight lines, which makes the uppercase E feel like a tidy comb or a fork with three teeth. On this worksheet your child practises the big E, which has one tall line down and three short lines reaching to the right, and the small lowercase e, which is a curvy shape with a little line through the middle like a closed eye. The dotted guides help your child move from straight strokes to a single flowing curve.

As your child traces, say the short sound “e” as in egg and elephant. This sound is gentle and easy to repeat, and matching it with the shape builds strong letter memory. The picture cues of an egg, an elephant and an ear give friendly words to name, and the elephant always brings a smile.

This sheet is designed for ages 2 to 7. Younger children enjoy the big E because its straight lines are easy to follow, while older children practise the trickier curve of lowercase e and write short E words. Tracing the three lines of E builds careful control and teaches children to lift and place the pencil neatly. Remind them to start each short line from the tall line and pull to the right.
